Terms of Service

Last updated: 9 September 2026

Who these terms apply to

These terms apply whenever you request a quote, commission a translation, interpreting booking, or related service from Loyal Translations (“we,” “us”), 21 Ashe Grove, Brackenstown, Swords, Co. Dublin, K67 H340, Ireland, through loyal-translations.com or by phone or email.

Our services

We provide translation, certified document translation, interpreting, localisation, proofreading, editing, and transcription services, quoted individually per job. This site does not sell fixed-price products through a cart or checkout — every job is quoted before work begins, based on the document or project you send us.

Quotes and how a job is agreed

A quote becomes a binding agreement once you confirm it in writing (by email or through the contact form) and we confirm receipt. The price stated in a confirmed quote will not change unless the scope of the job changes — for example, a longer document than originally described, an added language pair, or a change in requested turnaround — in which case we’ll confirm any price change with you before proceeding.

Payment

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, we invoice on completion of the work, or on agreed milestones for larger projects, payable by bank transfer within the terms stated on the invoice. For interpreting bookings, payment terms are confirmed at the time of booking.

Turnaround and delivery

Standard and rush turnaround windows are stated on each service page and confirmed with your quote. Turnaround begins once we have everything needed to start the job — the final source document, any reference material you’ve promised, and a confirmed quote.

Your responsibilities

You’re responsible for making sure the source material you send us is the correct, final version, and that you have the right to have it translated (for example, that it doesn’t infringe someone else’s copyright or confidentiality obligations). If a document later turns out to be an incorrect version, additional charges may apply for retranslating the corrected version.

Intellectual property

Once a job is paid in full, the translated text is yours to use as you wish. We retain no ownership claim over your source material or the resulting translation. Any terminology glossary we build for you as part of an ongoing engagement remains available to you for future jobs.

Confidentiality

We treat every document as confidential as standard. A signed non-disclosure agreement is available on request, at no extra charge, before you send us anything.

Liability

We take reasonable skill and care in every translation and check it with an independent second linguist before delivery. If an error is found that’s our responsibility, we will correct it at no charge — see our Refund & Cancellation Policy for how this works. Beyond that correction commitment, our liability for any job is limited to the fee paid for that job, except where liability cannot be limited under Irish law (for example, in the case of fraud or death or personal injury caused by negligence). Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer under Irish and EU consumer protection law.

Cancellation

Cancellation and refund terms are set out in full in our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of Ireland, and any dispute arising from them is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish courts.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time; the current version always applies to new quotes. Significant changes will be reflected in the “Last updated” date above.
