What changes a price

Every quote on this site is fixed once we've seen the job, but a handful of things decide where it lands on the rate card:

  • Length. Word count for specialist translation, page count for certified documents, hours for interpreting and proofreading.
  • Language pair. Some pairs need a smaller pool of qualified linguists than others, which can affect price and turnaround.
  • Certification. Whether the receiving authority requires a signed Certificate of Accuracy.
  • Subject complexity. Highly technical, clinical, or legal material takes more time to translate and review accurately.
  • Format. A clean Word file is quicker to quote and deliver than a scanned or hand-annotated document.
  • Turnaround. Standard or rush — rush carries a surcharge, stated upfront, never added after the fact.

Always included, whichever service you choose

  • A fixed price before any work begins
  • Translation by a professional linguist, checked by an independent second linguist
  • Confidentiality as standard; a signed NDA on request
  • Delivery in your agreed format, on the agreed date
  • Correction at no charge if something’s wrong

FAQ

Pricing questions

How is the price worked out?
It depends on the service: certified documents are priced per page, specialist translation (legal, medical, business, technical) per word, interpreting and proofreading per hour, and localisation per project. Full rates are on the Pricing page, and every quote states the price before any work begins.
Is the quote binding?
Yes — once we've seen your document (or your word count is confirmed), the price we quote is the price you pay, with no surprise charges.
What if I only have a rough idea of length?
Use the estimator on the Pricing page for an indicative range, then send the actual document for a firm quote — the final price always depends on the document itself.
How do I pay?
We invoice on completion, or on agreed milestones for larger projects, payable by bank transfer. Payment terms are confirmed with your quote.
Is there a rush option?
Yes, on every service — a rush surcharge applies and the exact turnaround is confirmed at quote stage, since it depends on current workload.
Is the number from the estimator my final price?
No — it's an indicative range to help you budget. Send the actual document, or confirm your word count, for a firm, binding quote.
