Every quote on this site is fixed once we've seen the job, but a handful of things decide where it lands on the rate card:
- Length. Word count for specialist translation, page count for certified documents, hours for interpreting and proofreading.
- Language pair. Some pairs need a smaller pool of qualified linguists than others, which can affect price and turnaround.
- Certification. Whether the receiving authority requires a signed Certificate of Accuracy.
- Subject complexity. Highly technical, clinical, or legal material takes more time to translate and review accurately.
- Format. A clean Word file is quicker to quote and deliver than a scanned or hand-annotated document.
- Turnaround. Standard or rush — rush carries a surcharge, stated upfront, never added after the fact.
